In its shortlist, the price comparison site ranks the Honda FR-V, a six-seater, as the "crashiest car".
Almost a fifth (18.4 per cent) of quote applicants at Confused.com who drive the model have had an accident.
Despite being famed as a maker of safe cars, Volvo ranks second as 15.9 per cent of XC90 drivers have made a claim.
Meanwhile, the Lexus RX scores a 15.5 per cent rate of claims.
Gareth Kloet, head of car insurance at Confused.com, says: "Car accidents are rarely a result of mechanical failures; they are more often caused by human error or just bad fortune."
However, Honda vehicles seem to attract unlucky or poor drivers, as the Jazz and CR-V models from the company are also among the ten crashiest cars.
